Default More Items for Use

I want to see more Items in game. No, I don't mean by equipments (weapons, mods, runes), or crafting items, but rather Misc items (useful or unuseful). This would help make some stuff eaiser, as well as adding on more trades, and encourage more to explore. So, so far some ideas include:

Sigil of Skill : Give you 1 skill point (rare: about 10k price range?)

Transmute Kit: Like salvage kit, but will turn an item into gold instead of material (but only like 75% of its market value) (norm: in store)

Armor Patterns : Its like tattoo for your armor. Give your armor some patterns to the colorize area (spoted colors) Things like Camo, Runic, Stipes, or Moo. (use it with a dye to defin the paterns color) (mid rare: about 6k range)

Echo of Song (aka. Ring tones) : come in differnt varity of sounds. (like a "Ding" or a "Ring" or a "Beem") Use it on your self like a dye. Once "equipped" with it, that it is is that when someone click on you (for trades, grouping, healing, etc), they will hear that small ring. Make you stand out more in the crowd. (norm: about 1k range)

More Drinks: It can not be a good game with out some Drinks. More Varities of it.

That is about it for now... maybe more on it later..

Also want to hear your ideas on such items.

aww.. no one want to add on to this ideas...

anyhow.. beside shamless bumping... here are one that I forget to add..

Underworld or Fissure Pass: good for a free pass to underword or fissure (depend on what it is)

Treasure Map and Key: more to go with the treasure hunt mini game idea... this one I posted in another thread before....

How about a Treasure Hunt? Mob will be dropping random treasure maps (like "Map of Skull 2/4" or "Gand One Piece 1/6"), in which once you collect all the pieces of a map, the map is complete, and will tell you the location to find the Treasure. (you would also need to collect the special key to open the chest as well) Open it will find some goodies.

Also Beer Drinking game (which would give more use to the beers and drinks) Maybe more on that later in a thread for mini games....

When I think beer games, I think of Pre-Searing and the fun little game to get Hunters Ale. More things like that, hidden and such, silly quest like games with fun rewards are what I want. Killing a bear in a certain time, and then doing it over and over again getting lots of ale was fun.

Really more wierd items that have little to no use would just make me happier. More variety in the beers, more silly collector items like what we see in Ascalon or even something like whats available at holiday events. More sillly hats to wear, etc. Silly armors.

Doing some self bumping and to add some stuff

Life Shred : Found as a Monster drops, that can take few % of DP off (but not all, unlike the candycan).

Gold Seeker Scroll : When used, all mob, if the drop is gold, will drop 10% more. Last for 20 minutes.

Cookies : Just because....

Still interested to hear what other usible item can be added to GW. (things like scrolls) I think more varity of items would add more fun in the treasure hunting and loot finding part of the game. But also remember GW should not be a item game (so no on hp potions and such)

Oh, this sucker is so /signed :P.

Not so sure about Life Shreds, though. That sort of thing would be farm-bait beyond belief for active PvP Guilds. Kinda like how most competitive players were doing nothing but farming candy canes all day, every day during Wintersday. The rest of it I love though. Though, Transmutation Kits could provide full market value in gold for dropped items. Come on, you're using a space in inventory and a limited item which requires gold to maintain just to avoid having to go back to town and get the pithy gold amount from vendors? No thanks, full market value please.

Fire-Water: booze which causes little translucent pink elephants, a'la the Rank emotes, to drift around your character for a while.

Kitten: An item which generates an NPC kitten that follows your character around. Not a fighting animal, just a little fuzzy kitten to pet and play with. Would require a second item to make the kitten go away.

Dance Tokens: Special tokens which, when used, set your character to dancing a non-class dance. One could, for instance, find a dance token which could give male Warrs the female El dance and seriously weird out your friends. And there could be dance tokens which gave completely new dances. Everybody loves dancing.

Weapon Noises: Similar to the ring tones idea, but instead of whenever someone clicks on you, these bits modifiy the striking sound your weapons make. Think Soul Caliber's joke weapons for best effect.

LL, you can buy the Superior Transmuatation Kit from me! Give you 100% market value, but more expensve (or can get as a collector item)

Yes, Life Shred is tricky. But I reason that since CC is still around, it is already adding unfairness, might as well as add something that anyone can get to even this. I am thinking it will be drop by mob, semi-rare (about 500g value, like orange dye drop rare). Would be reduce your DP like by 5% (can maybe add a restriction like can only use one ever 15 minutes).

I like Kitten.. only if there is a /Petting emot.....

Tattoos : Tattoos for your character's face, arms, chest, etc. Might add more customizations to your character. (only downside i see are that naked dance parties in random arenas might become even more popular)

i wanna kitten.... Love the armour pattern idea!

A lot of these things would need to be bound somehow to a character to prevent excessive farming or abuse. I wouldn't mind a drink that allowed my character to have free movement along the y axis (and prevent movement along the x & z). Imagine the screenshots. O.O

For the drinks I'd love if they added a Tavern in each of the Major Cities, there's nothing more fun in a MMOG than hanging around in the pub.
I'd also like to hear when Warrior uses shouts that it would make a really nice Battlecry

I don't think the kittens would make sense, maybe only in towns.. And I'm opposed to anything too "goofy", it ruins the serious feel of GW when you see a Warrior swing his sword and hear "Waawawawaw"


My list..

Different Underwear
Simply different underwear for your character, can be purchased for 1 Platinum

Treasure Hunt (Expanded)
Four kinds of chests depicted by the level area.
1/2 Maps (Where you collect 2 pieces) Drop blue items (Ascalon/North Shiver Peaks)
1/4 Maps (Where you collect 4 pieces) Drop purple items (Kryta/Maguuma)
1/6 Maps (Where you collect 6 pieces) Drop gold items (Crystal Desert/ South Shiver Peaks)
1/8 Maps (Where you collect 8 pieces) Drop Green items (FoW, UW, Ring of Fire)
Rules to Treasure Hunt:
-Pieces of the map will be dropped by bosses, you can carry pieces of maps over into another zone. (You won't be able to figure out what zone it is in until you have every piece)
-Every member must have a shovel (Which cost 150, 250, 500, 1,000 based off the chests) in which they all must dig up the treasure, everyone gets one click on it.

Hatching
For Rangers or Ranger secondaries who prefer beast mastery. This idea goes hand and hand with flying and walking Birds and Mini Dragons for pets. You can find unhatched eggs through out the world of GW, only rangers have the ability to cater and hatch them. You will have to warm, take care of them blah blah blah. Based off of how you take care of the egg, a bird or mini dragon will hatch from it. (Different colors, different damage.. For Dragons it'd be Fire, Air, Earth, or Water)

Good ideas

I would like to see lots more weapon mods such as:

+20% damage Pommles/hafts/wrappings ect verses (Spiders,Shadows,Centaurs ect and whatever catagories are in Chap 2)
Basically there should be increased damage mods for all the monster catagories in the game.

We have +20% longer enchant mods so why not +20% longer Stances, Shouts, Preperations and even hexes maybe. 20% longer hex is probably a bit overpowering though.

I would like to see modable sheilds and wands/focus too.

I really like this map idea, I think they wouldn't go into your inventory but a special place or something and be placed into there rather then clogging invo up.

Actually, this was orginally to seek out ideas on what other "useble" items to add, one that could have more pratical use, but still within the bound of GW gameing style.

But.. might as include some RP items. (I think I had another thread on collectorible items too...)

- Cards/Paintings (with pretty pictures on them, where you can view on double click)

- Dolls/Figurings/Models (click to view a 3-d model of it where you can roatat and such)

- Books/Lore (books and scrolls and letters and other thing you can find, where you can double click to view its text. Content range from History and Mythology of Tyria, Infor on Monster and their orgins, description on key locations in exploration maps, orgins and intersting infromation on skills, and more personalize stories about the NPCs that detail their background, etc etc)

- Hats/Headgear/Town Cloth/ Undies

I have some more detail thoughts about them, but will just provide the bullet points for now....

just to add to that...the info on monsters and stuff could maybe mention whether they're weak to a certain type of damage or something..

and yes..a lot of these ideas remind me of runescape, especially the treasure hunting maps..

Some very creative ideas

I love the treasure hunt one. Anything to give me things to do, reasons to explore those territories.

I was just thinking the other day, as I was henching my way to TOA; there was this small lil town that I've never seen before... wouldn't it be fun if there was an NPC there that gave me a special quest? A Treasure hunt maybe?

And yes, the reward items should be "customized on pickup" to prevent farming. Plus it will encourage people to go out and find things themselves.

I also agree that the candyshards should be brought back; and make it easy to find but customized so it'll discourage massive farming for sale. Since ppl who farmed like heck during wintersday already have the advantage over those that didnt... why should they?

I LOVE the transmute kit. But just make it 100% value. And it could work in tandem with the ID kit. If you ID it before u transmute it, you get more gold...
